Tokyo is not all concrete jungle. There are many different sites in which you can find forests and even a few nature parks here and there. Tokyo has beautiful botanic gardens and is known for one plant in particular the bonsai tree. This plant is sometimes smaller than a foot in height and can be trimmed and shaped into miraculous figures. Uno park in North Eastern Tokyo is full of flowering trees and hosts many important cultural landmarks and museums. Shiba Park is the oldest park and still has many camphor and gingko trees. One may marvel how the people get around well the answer is bullet trains they can go to speeds of 180 mph or higher. People also travel by subways which are the fastest way to get around the city.
Besides being a leader in business, Japanese people also take their education very seriously. Japan has more than 660 universities and graduate schools. Nihon University in Tokyo is the largest university with almost 90,000 students. Tokyo University (Todai) is the most prestigious university there. Besides the above, there are technical colleges which provide five years of specialized training, while other technical schools compress their training to a shorter time.
There are lots of other small things in Tokyo’s history that are not really significant. One of them is a bubble economy. What is a bubble economy? A bubble economy is an unstable growing economy that causes the cost of many things to go up. In Tokyo’s case, the bubble economy spiked up the land prices. This happened in 1986. Four years later in 1990, the bubble economy started to drop and land prices started to go down. Another “side note” is a story called Chushingura. The story is based off of a real event of a person named Asano Naganori who cuts Kira Noshinaka, a high official, for mocking him. Asano is immediately told to commit seppuku, and ancient suicidal ritual. A couple years later, Asano’s apprentices avenge their master’s death by beheading Noshinaka. The story is told to little kids to teach them about trust.
Tokyo also has a lot of tourists amusement activities. Theses consist of theme parks, huge high-rises, and great hotels. It is on also considered to be one of the most beautiful honeymoon destinations. Almost all of Tokyo is alive at night which makes it one of the largest nightlife cities ever (in comparison to Vegas). Mount Fuji is also a must see in Tokyo. The shino religion also believes in nature. To them climbing mount Fuji at least once is an accomplishment and a great honor. Many big companies and brands make their headquartes
here.
Another thing that Tokyo is keeping under control is its trash and waste numbers. Tokyo is considered a green city because of its immense and effective way of reusing, reducing, and recycling. Tokyo is very organized in the way that it has good sanitation methods. Although Tokyo has a huge population, a longer lifespan, and a high birthrate it's government can keep a healthy, clean, and beautiful city because of a combined effort from the people of Tokyo, its traditions and customs, and the government. This allows Tokyo to be clean and not collapse.
