Strict Rules and Regulations Addressing Air Pollution
Tokyo has taken large steps in controlling the air pollution. For example, Tokyo has restricted and controlled the amount of air pollutant factories there are. Tokyo also made it so that more factories would have boilers to help lessen the effects on the atmosphere. Gas stations are now being upgraded with high quality fuel. This type of fuel has the most harmful chemicals filtered out making it environmentally friendly. In 1967, the Basic Law for Environmental Pollution Control was put into work. It helped establish some rules that would make it so that Tokyo will have cleaner air. Organizations like the Tokyo Metropolitan Environmental Pollution Prevention Ordinance and laws like the Smoke and Soot Regulation Law help make Tokyo have cleaner air.
