The Nasu Onsen is located within the Kanto Region. It is an area full of hot springs near the bottom of Mount Nasudake. The Nasu Highlands is also located within the Kanto area. The Nasu Onsen area has many hot springs that were discovered from 710 to 1185. They were natural springs fixed so that people could bathe in it. The Nasu Onsen area was actually close to Tokyo. Further down the mountain, there are forests with a variety of plants and trees. The Azalea bush is a common plant around this area blooming around May. The Nasu Onsen contains the Azalea Fields, the Heisei forests, of Mount Nasudake. The Heisei forests are in the Nasukogen region which is a highland. It is also full of lush green vegetation. The Heisei forests are surrounded by the Nasu mountain ranges and are about 112 miles away from Tokyo. Mount Nasudake isn't known for much except its hot springs. In fact, there are many hot springs in the area and that’s what makes the mountain popular. The Nasu Onsen is a popular region with many hot springs, forests, and mountain ranges.
